Repetition is the key to building muscle memory, by taking a couple of minutes a day to go through a series of land based core drills to help you develop and structure your surfing with good technique. These core drills are based around the 3 key factors involved with the body mechanics of surfing, footwork, compression and rotation. Drills aimed at helping you develop better balance, core strength and stability. ...they say for every hour we spend in the ocean paddling and positioning, we only spend about a minute on the deck of our board! so when you do the maths its a no brainer that it would pay to go through the body mechanics required for surfing on land before surfing.
It takes a little amount of time per day, if done little and often, to build good core balance and every now and then, you might get a cuppa tea.
